Raymond Bardo

Raymond BardoRaymond Lee “Ray” Bardo, 63, of Stillwater, OK died on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on July 15, 1944 in Guthrie, OK to Whitley Raymond Bardo and Ota Fern (Mayfield) Bardo. He attended Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Stillwater High School with the class of 1962.

He served in the Army National Guard and later worked for Swan Rubber Plant. He was also employed by Quebecor World.

He had a quick wit and loved practical jokes. He was an active member of Stillwater Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Moose Lodge, a licensed real estate agent, and a self-proclaimed poker expert.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Eva Mae Bardo.

He is survived by one sister, Velma Fern Bardo Bailey of Tulsa, OK; one nephew, Whitley J. Bailey, currently serving in Iraq, and his wife Alex and their two sons, Marcus Bailey and Jordan Bailey of Killeen, TX; one niece, Deanne Renee Bailey Fritz and her husband Greg and their daughters Mallorey Fritz and Jamie Fritz of Broken Arrow, OK; three aunts, Mildred Pettit of Texas, Eva Bardo of Missouri, and Helen Bardo of California; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him very much.

At his request no funeral services will be held.
