EDMOND Mary E. Alexander, 67, passed away August 4, 2011, with her family by her side after a long struggle with heart disease. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 10:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond. She was born June 8, 1944, in Seminole, to Anita and Hobart Stewart. The family moved to Stillwater where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1962 and then moved to Oklahoma City. Mary worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 28 years and retired in 1993 as the Section Chief for the Instruments Division. Her interests included family, playing the organ, cooking, reading and travel. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family members. Mary is survived by her sister, Karen Yarber, children, David Alexander and Terri Alexander, their spouses and 5 grandchildren, Drew 16, Caleb 14, Bobby 11, Jacob 11, and Ali 8. She was preceded in death by her parents Anita and Hobart Stewart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to
